The Park Rapids Panthers took the lead against the Prairie Centre North Stars in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

Park Rapids took over the lead for good with a goal by Cody Koebernick at 2:26 in the first period. Raul Garcia assisted on the tally.

The Panthers were boosted by Cody Brumbaugh, who turned in a shutout with 27 saves. Brumbaugh managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.18 prior to the game.

Park Rapids was sparked by Koebernick, who finished with one goal.

The Panthers' defensive effort looked to be improved. Park Rapids averages 2.8 goals allowed per game.

Park Rapids also got a goal from Frank Moren as well. In addition, Park Rapids received assists from Matt DelaHunt, Noah Macpherson, and Kiefer Miller, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Wyatt Casavan recorded 27 saves for Prairie Centre. The North Stars avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
