A hat trick by Grant Loven was the highlight in Green Wave's 4-0 win against the Bemidji Lumberjacks.

Loven notched his first tally 1:15 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:32 into the second and at 10:30 into the second.

The East Grand Forks Green Wave's penalty kill excelled, as East Grand Forks gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

The Green Wave stifled Bemidji's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lumberjacks were unable to stop East Grand Forks from sending pucks towards the net, and the Green Wave eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. East Grand Forks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

East Grand Forks also got a goal from Kolton Aubol as well. More assists for East Grand Forks came via Colton Poolman, Dixon Bowen, Tanner Tweten, and Reed Corbid, who contributed one a piece and Taylor Brierley and Brandon Loven, who each chipped in two.

The Green Wave's defense shut down Bemidji's forwards for much of the game, and the Lumberjacks got off only nine shots during the contest.

Josh Weber rejected nine shots on goal for East Grand Forks. The Green Wave registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Gabe Heifort recorded 33 saves for Bemidji. The Lumberjacks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
