The Tartan Titans and the St. Thomas Academy Cadets skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Behind two goals from Alex Johnson and one goal and two assists from Matt Perry, St. Thomas Academy tied Tartan 4-4 (OT).

The Titans managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Tartan ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Titans were helped by Brady OSullivan, who had one goal and two assists. OSullivan scored 14:49 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Zach Ledman provided the assist. Tartan also got points from Ledman, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Jake Jackson, who also registered one goal and two assists. Connor Simons also scored for Tartan. Other players who recorded assists for Tartan were Kevin Reddy, who had one and Eric Olheiser, who had two.

The Cadets managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. St. Thomas Academy finished below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. The Cadets' normally stingy defense allowed more goals than usual. St. Thomas Academy averages 1.4 goal allowed per game. By firing 42 shots on goal, the Cadets exceeded the 1.5 shot they average per game this year.

St. Thomas Academy additionally got points from Perry, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. St. Thomas Academy also got a goal from Tony Bretzman as well. More assists for St. Thomas Academy came via Jack Stang, who had two and Tom Novak, Christiano Versich, and Dan McManus, who each chipped in one.

Gabe Splichal rejected 38 shots on goal for Tartan. The Titans registered one goal on one power play opportunities. David Zevnik recorded 14 saves for St. Thomas Academy. The Cadets registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
