Tartan rolls over Simley, 10-0

The Simley Spartans had trouble finding ways to stop the Tartan Titans, which beat Spartans, 10-0.

Tartan got the win with help from a great game by Brady OSullivan, who had one goal and three assists. OSullivan scored 5:58 into the third period to make the score 10-0 Tartan. Zach Ledman provided the assist.

The Titans' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Simley power plays. Tartan's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Titans average 2.2 goals allowed per game. Tartan's offense rang up 44 shots on Simley's net. The Titans found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Tartan has scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

Tartan additionally got points from Ledman, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Zach Moore, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Eric Olheiser, who also registered two goals and two assists. Tartan also had goals scored by Rusty Axtman, who had two and Jake Jackson, who had three. More assists for Tartan came via Cody Fylstra, who had one, Mike Winberg, who had two, and Jacob Picht, who had three.

The Spartans stifled the Titans' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Simley's offense operated below it season average. The Spartans put an average of 2.2 pucks into the net per game.

Gabe Splichal rejected 18 shots on goal for Tartan. The Titans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mike Sarantos made 34 saves for Simley on 44 shots. The Spartans incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
