LaChappelle nets hat trick, leads Hill-Murray to 7-0 win over Lakeville North

Curt LaChappelle lifted the Hill-Murray Pioneers to a 7-0 victory with a hat trick against the Lakeville North Panthers.

LaChappelle's first goal came 1:53 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:22 into the first and at 14:07 into the first.

Hill-Murray gained an early advantage, leading 5-0 by the end of the first period.

The Pioneers outdid their season average for goals scored. Hill-Murray has scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. The Pioneers put 40 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.2 they average per game.

Hill-Murray additionally got points from Josh French, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Willie Brown, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Hill-Murray also got a goal from Dustin Krueger as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hill-Murray were Zach Mills, who had two and Davis Zarembinski, Logan Sharp, Coten Greeder, Zach LaValle, and Mitch Slattery, who contributed one a piece.

Lakeville North's offense operated below it season average. The Panthers average 2.8 goals per game. Lakeville North's offense was handcuffed by Hill-Murray's defensive play, and the Panthers managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

The Pioneers' John Dugas stopped 14 shots out of the 14 that he faced. Hill-Murray finished the contest with no penalties and went 2-for-0 with the man advantage. Pierce Wilson made 33 saves for Lakeville North on 40 shots. The Panthers ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
