French leads Hill-Murray over Tartan, 6-0Tartan Arena Thu, Dec 20, 2012 The Hill-Murray Pioneers' Josh French had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 6-0 win over the Tartan Titans. French scored 6:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hill-Murray. Ryan Black provided the assist. French dished an assist on Black's goal that made the score 2-0 Hill-Murray at 13:29 into the first period. He then added assists on Black's goal at 6:46 into the third and on Coten Greeder's goal at 8:34 into the third.John Dugas spearheaded the defensive effort for Hill-Murray, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 25 saves for the shutout. The solid play of Dugas will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.42. The Pioneers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tartan power plays. Hill-Murray kept Tartan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gabe Splichal made 40 saves on 46 shots. The Pioneers bested their season scoring average. Hill-Murray averages 3.9 goals per game. Hill-Murray additionally got points from Black, who also registered two goals and one assist. Hill-Murray also got a goal from Mike Rawlings as well.
