Minnetonka downs St. Thomas Academy, 3-1

Max Coatta had one point to lead the Minnetonka Skippers to a 3-1 victory over the St. Thomas Academy Cadets.

Minnetonka did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Skippers average 5.6 goals per game. By firing 20 shots on goal, Minnetonka exceeded the 6.6 shots it averages per game this year.

Minnetonka also got a goal from Joseph Lindberg as well. In addition, Minnetonka received assists from Charles Huminski, John Schuldt, and Justin Bader, who contributed one a piece.

St. Thomas Academy could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Cadets put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

St. Thomas Academy was led by T.J. Samec, who scored the team's only goal. Samec scored 7:39 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Tom Novak assisted on the tally.

Paul Ciaccio rejected 24 shots on goal for the Skippers. Minnetonka ended with no penalties and went 1-for-0 on the power play. David Zevnik recorded 17 saves for the Cadets. St. Thomas Academy finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
