Edina downs Wayzata, 2-1

Cullen Munson registered one point to lead the Edina Hornets to a 2-1 victory over the Wayzata Trojans.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, Edina exceeded the 12.3 shots it averages per game this year.

Edina also got a goal from Miguel Fidler as well. In addition, Edina received assists from Anthony Walsh, Tim Spicola, Dan Hinueber, and Tyler Nanne, who contributed one a piece.

Wayzata could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Trojans put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. The 22 shots that Wayzata put on net surpassed the Trojans' average of 4.6 shots per game this season.

Wayzata was led by Chase Haller, who scored the team's only goal. Haller scored 11:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wayzata. Alec Hemenway assisted on the tally.

Willie Benjamin rejected 21 shots on goal for the Hornets. Edina incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors and had no power play opportunities. Aaron Dingman recorded 29 saves for the Trojans. Wayzata incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
