Edina penalty kill dominates in 4-0 defeat of CentennialBraemar Arena Thu, Nov 29, 2012 The Centennial Cougars failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Edina Hornets shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-0. Edina was paced by Bo Brauer, who racked up one goal and one assist. Brauer scored 13:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Edina. Miguel Fidler assisted on the tally. The Hornets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Centennial power plays. Edina's offense was clicking better than usual and put 46 shots on goal during the game, better than the 11.3 shots per game it averages. The Hornets could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. Edina additionally got points from Dylan Malmquist, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Andy Jordahl also scored for Edina. More assists for Edina came via Parker Reno, Matt Nelson, Cullen Munson, and Connor Hurley, who contributed one a piece. Centennial found itself short handed often, totaling 16 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays. Andrew Rohkohl made 23 saves for Edina on 23 shots. The Cougars' Patrick Munson stopped 42 shots out of the 46 that he faced.
