The Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats relied on the sparkling performance of Bryce Thompson in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Irondale Knights.

Chisago Lakes Area was led by Benjamin Knaak, who registered one goal. Knaak scored on the power play 1:02 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Chisago Lakes Area. Blake Lizotte assisted on the tally.

The Wildcats' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Irondale power plays.

Taylor O'Connor also scored for Chisago Lakes Area. Other players who recorded assists for Chisago Lakes Area were Jacob Breyfogle and Ryan Chambers, who each chipped in one.

Irondale was led by Jack Tuomie, who scored the team's only goal. Tuomie scored 3:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Irondale. Tony Bridgeman provided the assist.

Chisago Lakes Area's Thompson stopped 25 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Wildcats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Esko Aukee made 24 saves for the Knights on 27 shots. Irondale incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
