Huge game by Swanson boosts Pine City/Rush City over North Branch, 8-5Pine City High School Tue, Jan 22, 2013 Behind a great game by Adam Swanson, who had two goals and two assists, the Pine City/Rush City Dragons defeated the North Branch Vikings, 8-5. Swanson found the back of the net 2:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pine City/Rush City and again while 4:58 into the first to make the score 2-1 Pine City/Rush City.Pine City/Rush City stifled North Branch's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Vikings were unable to stop the Dragons from sending pucks towards the net, and Pine City/Rush City eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Dragons found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Pine City/Rush City averages 2.9 goals per contest. Pine City/Rush City additionally got points from Casey Lucht, who also racked up one goal and two assists, TJ Gross, who also had two goals and one assist, and Jake Kleinsasser, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
