Chisago Lakes Area falls to Princeton in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Princeton Tigers pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats on a clutch goal by Collin Buness.

Dan Muench had a great game for Princeton, netting two goals. Muench scored on the power play at 34 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 9:05 into the third to make the score 3-3.

The Tigers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Princeton averages 7.7 goals per game.

Princeton additionally got points from Buness, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Chase Lindenfelser also scored for Princeton. In addition, Princeton received assists from Daniel Voce, who had one and Cam Paulson, who had two.

Chisago Lakes Area did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Wildcats put an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game. Chisago Lakes Area's offense rang up 32 shots on the Tigers' net.

The Wildcats were helped by Blake Lizotte, who tallied one goal. Lizotte scored 4:28 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Chisago Lakes Area. Brandon Gillespie picked up the assist. Chisago Lakes Area also got a goal from Colton Reynolds as well. Other players who recorded assists for Chisago Lakes Area were Louis Kastenbauer, Jacob Speight, Zachary Lambrecht, and Daniel Sargeant, who contributed one a piece.

Max Mattson made 29 saves for Princeton on 32 shots. The Tigers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jacob Dubose rejected 21 shots on goal for Chisago Lakes Area. The Wildcats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
