Miller, Axberg dominate St. Paul Highland Park, lead North Branch to 5-2 winChisago Lakes Arena Tue, Nov 27, 2012 Behind two goals from Alex Miller and two goals and one assist from Jared Axberg, the North Branch Vikings downed the St. Paul Highland Park Scots 5-2. Miller scored the first of his two goals at 1:00 into the second period to make the score 1-0 North Branch. Axberg assisted on the tally. Miller's next tally made the score 2-2 with 12:07 left in the second period. An interference penalty on Kyle Hallock had put North Branch on the power play. Joey Courtright picked up the assist. Axberg scored the first of his two goals at 13:44 into the second period to make the score 3-2 North Branch. Kyle Nielsen assisted on the tally. Axberg's next tally made the score 5-2 North Branch with 14:55 left in the third period. The Vikings earned a power play opportunity when Hallock was put in the box for tripping. Courtright picked up the assist.North Branch excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.
