Champlin Park beats Robbinsdale Armstrong 4-2 after comeback scare

The Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Champlin Park Rebels held on for a 4-2 victory.

Champlin Park took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Robbinsdale Armstrong storm back on a Tommy Wood goal 7:26 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Rebels got the win thanks to a great game by Luke Dahlman, who had two goals and one assist. Dahlman scored the first of his two goals at 1:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Champlin Park. Brock Puchalski assisted on the tally. Dahlman's next tally made the score 3-1 Champlin Park with 15:33 left in the second period. Calvin Spencer picked up the assist.

Champlin Park's offense rang up 32 shots on the Falcons' net.

Reese Woods also scored for Champlin Park. In addition, Champlin Park received assists from Ryan McNeil and Cole Groebner, who each chipped in one.

Robbinsdale Armstrong also got a goal from Eric Udelhoven as well. More assists for Robbinsdale Armstrong came via Nick Malmgren, Cole Goergen, and Shea Borer, who contributed one a piece.

Tyler Nelson rejected 22 shots on goal for the Rebels. Champlin Park incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Robbinsdale Armstrong's Grant Mathiason stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Falcons incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
