Cory Gilbert gave the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons the lead in the first period, and the Osseo Orioles was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-1.

A goal 14:59 into the the first period by Gilbert proved to be the game winner, and powered Robbinsdale Armstrong to the victory Cole Goergen provided the assist.

The Falcons were paced by Gilbert, who racked up one goal.

Robbinsdale Armstrong managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Falcons ended up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game.

Robbinsdale Armstrong additionally got points from Goergen, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Robbinsdale Armstrong came via Nick Malmgren, Tommy Wood, and Shea Borer, who each chipped in one.

Osseo put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Robbinsdale Armstrong to score on any of its three power plays.

The Orioles were led by Mason Hautala, who scored the team's only goal. Hautala scored 11:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zach Heiser picked up the assist.
