The Centennial Cougars and the Champlin Park Rebels skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Even though Centennial's Adam Anderson netted two goals and Kenny Sinna ccontributed two points, the Cougars was held to a tie by Champlin Park, 3-3 (OT).

Centennial put 47 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.1 it averages per game. The Cougars could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Centennial additionally got points from Sinna, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Centennial were Colin Hughes and Hans Gorowsky, who contributed one a piece.

The Rebels put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Centennial to score on any of its six power plays. Champlin Park's offense rang up 45 shots on the Cougars' net.

The Rebels were helped by Cole Groebner, who tallied one goal. Groebner scored 6:48 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Champlin Park. Reese Woods picked up the assist. Champlin Park also got a goal from Bryce Plunkett as well. More assists for Champlin Park came via Calvin Spencer, who had two and Luke Dalman, Ryan McNeil, and Scott Lessard, who each chipped in one.

Patrick Munson recorded 42 saves for Centennial. Champlin Park's Tyler Nelson stopped 44 shots out of the 47 that he faced. The Rebels incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
