Robbinsdale Armstrong's comeback falls short, Blaine wins 6-4Fogerty Arena - South Rink Thu, Jan 24, 2013 The Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Blaine Bengals managed to pull out a 6-4 win in the end. Blaine led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Bengals' Joey Lau's scored at 16:45 in the second period to put Blaine up 5-2. Brandon Noterman was all over the ice for the Bengals, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Noterman scored the first of his two goals at 9:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Blaine. Zack Wylie provided the assist. Noterman's next tally made the score 4-1 Blaine with 3:36 left in the first period. Mac Nadeau picked up the assist. The 32 shots that Blaine put on net surpassed the Bengals' average of 1.9 shot per game this season. Blaine additionally got points from Lau, who also registered one goal and one assist and Tyler Cline, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Blaine also got a goal from Nic Simpson as well. In addition, Blaine received assists from Tyler Maki, who had two. Robbinsdale Armstrong was helped by Tommy Wood, who had one goal. Wood scored on the power play 10:37 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Blaine. Shea Borer provided the assist. Ben Hansen also scored for Robbinsdale Armstrong. Other players who recorded assists for Robbinsdale Armstrong were Eric Udelhoven, who had three and Brady Anderson and Christopher Haugen, who each chipped in one. James Simmer made 12 saves for Blaine on 16 shots. The Bengals avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of zero power plays. Grant Mathiason recorded 26 saves for the Falcons. Robbinsdale Armstrong ended with no penalties and went 3-for-0 on the power play.
