Osseo boosted by Dahlberg's play in net, beats Champlin Park 3-1Dick Vraa Arena Thu, Jan 24, 2013 Connor Dahlberg stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead the Osseo Orioles to a 3-1 victory over the Champlin Park Rebels. Osseo's penalty kill excelled, as the Orioles gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Osseo was sparked by Tyler Stroh, who tallied one goal. Stroh scored 5:32 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Osseo. Chris Madsen provided the assist. The the Orioles penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 14.0 minutes per game Osseo had been spending in the box. Osseo also got points from Madsen, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Osseo also got a goal from Rudy Alexander as well. More assists for Osseo came via Jared Vance and Jacob Lange, who each chipped in one. The Orioles were unable to stop Champlin Park from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rebels eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Champlin Park was led by Bryce Plunkett, who scored the team's only goal. Plunkett scored on the power play 15:59 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Osseo. The Rebels had taken the advantage when Osseo's Stroh got sent off for checking from behind. Scott Lessard assisted on the tally. The Orioles registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Champlin Park's Grant Schuenke stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Rebels incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
