Centennial downs Bloomington Jefferson in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Tommy Heron gave the Centennial Cougars a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars when he scored 7:10 into the extra period.

Although Centennial was up by as many as three goals in the second period, Bloomington Jefferson kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Jaguars got to within 3-2 on a goal by Jono Lindquist at 7:49 in the third period.

The Cougars pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes.

With 35 shots on target during the contest, Centennial exceeded the 1.4 shot it averages per game this year.

Centennial additionally got points from Ryner Gorowsky, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Andrew Bertrand also scored for Centennial. Other players who recorded assists for Centennial were Kenny Sinna, Hans Gorowsky, Connor Lovick, and Will Schwartz, who each chipped in one.

Bloomington Jefferson kept the Cougars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Patrick Munson made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Bloomington Jefferson also got points from Johnny Panvica, who also had one goal and one assist. Bloomington Jefferson also got a goal from Charlie Straus as well. More assists for Bloomington Jefferson came via AJ Robbel, Tyler Johnson, and Zac Beek, who contributed one a piece.

Centennial registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Grant Martens rejected 31 shots on goal for the Jaguars. Bloomington Jefferson incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
