The Andover Huskies and the Centennial Cougars skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Even though Centennial's Jordan Pitlick netted two goals and Andrew Bertrand contributed two points, the Cougars was held to a tie by Andover, 4-4 (OT).

By firing 39 shots on goal, the Huskies exceeded the 3.6 shots they average per game this year. Andover could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Huskies were led by Calvin Rak, who tallied one goal and one assist. Rak scored on the power play 16:42 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Andover. Andover earned a power play opportunity when Kenny Sinna was put in the box for elbowing. Jared McComber picked up the assist. Andover also got points from McComber, who also registered one goal and one assist. Andover also got a goal from Brit Brothen as well. More assists for Andover came via Brady Barthold, Tyler Tomberlin, and Bjorn Kjelstad, who contributed one a piece.

Centennial put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.5 it averages per game. The Cougars struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

Centennial additionally got points from Bertrand, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Wyatt Close also scored for Centennial. In addition, Centennial received assists from Max Cory, Hans Gorowsky, and Adam Anderson, who each chipped in one.

The Huskies' Chase Perry stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Patrick Munson rejected 35 shots on goal for Centennial. The Cougars registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
