Champlin Park blows out Robbinsdale Armstrong, 6-2

The Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons had trouble finding ways to stop the Champlin Park Rebels, which beat Falcons, 6-2.

Ryan McNeil had a great game for Champlin Park, netting two goals. McNeil found the back of the net 1:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Champlin Park and again while 3:17 into the second to make the score 3-0 Champlin Park.

The Rebels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Champlin Park found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Rebels average 2.7 goals per contest.

Champlin Park also got points from Luke Dalman, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Bryce Plunkett, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Calvin Spencer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Champlin Park also got a goal from Scott Lessard as well. More assists for Champlin Park came via Max Turgeon and Dan Kielb, who contributed one a piece.

Champlin Park's Tyler Nelson stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Rebels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Grant Mathiason rejected 23 shots on goal for Robbinsdale Armstrong. The Falcons incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
