Minnetonka blows out Osseo, 5-1

The Minnetonka Skippers had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Osseo Orioles.

Charles Huminski had two goals to lead Minnetonka to victory. Huminski's tallies came on the power play at 13:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Minnetonka and 6:16 into the third to make the score 4-0 Minnetonka.

The Skippers stifled Osseo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The 38 shots that Minnetonka put on net surpassed the Skippers' average of 12.0 shots per game this season.

Minnetonka also got points from Max Coatta, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Minnetonka also got a goal from Alex Klein as well. Other players who recorded assists for Minnetonka were Joseph Lindberg, Connor Thie, Jack Kuehn, and Justin Bader, who contributed one a piece.

The Orioles did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force nine saves.

Minnetonka's Paul Ciaccio stopped nine shots out of the 10 that he faced. The Skippers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Alex Otto rejected 33 shots on goal for Osseo. The Orioles incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
