A stellar performance between the pipes by Jordan Moran helped the Prior Lake Lakers defeat the Lakeville South Cougars, 4-1.

Prior Lake was paced by Jeff Pieper, who grabbed one goal. Pieper scored 13:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Prior Lake. Hayden Maxfield assisted on the tally.

The Lakers forced Lakeville South goalie Tyler Schumacher to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Prior Lake also got points from Connor Bump, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Jack Murphy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ben Keckeisen also scored for Prior Lake. In addition, Prior Lake received assists from Sam Taylor, who had one and Gavin Smith, who had two.

The Cougars were held below their usual level of production. Lakeville South puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. By firing 34 shots on goal, the Cougars exceeded the 1.2 shot they average per game this year.

Lakeville South was led by Dylan Fox, who scored the team's only goal. Fox scored 15:38 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Prior Lake. Chris Gonzalez provided the assist.

Jordan Moran made 33 saves for Prior Lake on 34 shots. The Lakers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Cougars' Schumacher stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Lakeville South incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
