The Prior Lake Lakers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars on the way to a 3-2 win.

Prior Lake made the score 3-0 on a goal by Austin Polson McCannon at 14:14 in the second period, and Bloomington Jefferson got as close as 3-2 when Zac Beek scored 6:47 into the third period.

The Lakers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Prior Lake wound up below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Lakers were helped by Blake Busch, who grabbed one goal. Busch scored 16:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Prior Lake. Gavin Smith assisted on the tally. Prior Lake also got points from Will Reedy, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Prior Lake were Dylan Zins, who had two.

Tyler Johnson also scored for Bloomington Jefferson. More assists for Bloomington Jefferson came via Jack Graves, who had one.

Jordan Moran made 15 saves for Prior Lake on 17 shots. The Lakers registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Grant Martens rejected 23 shots on goal for the Jaguars. Bloomington Jefferson incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
