Huge game by Hernon boosts Bloomington Jefferson over Lakeville North, 5-2

Collin Hernon was all over the ice for the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Bloomington Jefferson's 5-2 win over the Lakeville North Panthers.

Hernon scored at 9:37 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 11:51 into the third to make the score 4-2 Bloomington Jefferson.

Charlie Straus also scored for Bloomington Jefferson. In addition, Bloomington Jefferson received assists from Tony Roisum, who had two and Ryan Freese, Charlie Bach, Jono Lindquist, and Jack Graves, who contributed one a piece.

Lakeville North kept the Jaguars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Grant Martens made 29 saves on 31 shots.

The Panthers were helped by Angelo Altavilla, who finished with one goal. Altavilla scored on the power play 14:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lakeville North. Lakeville North had gotten the advantage when Bloomington Jefferson's Graves was sent off for tripping. Jack Sadek provided the assist. Lakeville North also got a goal from Matt Ostdiek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeville North were Brendan Cole, who had one and Tristan Hazlett, who had two.

The Jaguars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Panthers' Will Dupont stopped 25 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Lakeville North incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
