Nick Poehling registered two points to lead the Lakeville North Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Rochester Mayo Spartans.

Lakeville North put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Rochester Mayo to score on any of its five power plays. The Panthers' offense rang up 33 shots on the Spartans' net.

Lakeville North also got a goal from Jack Poehling as well. In addition, Lakeville North received assists from Ian Klotz, who had one.

Rochester Mayo excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Spartans' offense were handcuffed by Lakeville North's defensive play, and Rochester Mayo managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

Pierce Wilson recorded 14 saves for the Panthers. Lakeville North ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Panthers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tristan Hazlett was ejected from the game. Case Hansen made 30 saves for the Spartans on 33 shots. Rochester Mayo incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
