East Ridge uses early goal to top Woodbury, 1-0

Jack Greeley gave the East Ridge Raptors the lead in the first period, and the Woodbury Royals was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 1-0.

A goal 8:27 into the the first period by Greeley proved to be the game winner, and powered East Ridge to the victory Jack Dwyer picked up the assist.

The Raptors were led by Greeley, who registered one goal.

East Ridge did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Raptors put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. East Ridge featured an improved defense during the game. The Raptors gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. East Ridge kept Woodbury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austen Macalus made 30 saves on 31 shots.

The Royals managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Woodbury finished below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. The Royals were held below their usual level of production. Woodbury averages 2.2 goals per game.
