Mellick leads Hastings over Roseville, 5-1

Zach Mellick was all over the ice for the Hastings Raiders, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Hastings' 5-1 win over the Roseville Raiders.

Mellick scored at 4:32 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hastings and again while 12:05 into the first to make the score 3-1 Hastings.

Roseville was unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Hastings eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Hastings also got points from Mark Huneke, who also had one goal and three assists and Andrew Bussey, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Hastings were Jake Caneff, who had one.

The Raiders could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Roseville averages 3.7 goals per game.

The Raiders were led by Alex Brauesen, who scored the team's only goal. Brauesen scored 8:26 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Hastings. Ryan Larson provided the assist.

Matt Radke rejected 23 shots on goal for the Raiders. Hastings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zach Larson recorded 43 saves for Roseville. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
