The Mounds View Mustangs were firing on all cylinders against the Hastings Raiders, and when the final buzzer sounded Mustangs emerged with a 6-1 win.

Mounds View was paced by Darian Romanko, who finished with one goal and one assist. Romanko scored 3:02 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Mounds View. John Sarafolean assisted on the tally.

The Mustangs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Mounds View ended up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. The Mustangs put 21 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.2 they average per game.
