East Ridge's Hanson deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Forest Lake

The East Ridge Raptors relied on the scoring touch of Brady Hanson, who netted two goals, to beat the Forest Lake Rangers, 4-1.

Hanson scored at 13:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 5:05 into the third to make the score 3-1 East Ridge.

Forest Lake was stymied by East Ridge netminder Tyler Guck, who stopped 32 shots during the victory. Guck certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.59 entering the contest.

The Rangers were unable to stop the Raptors from sending pucks towards the net, and East Ridge eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Nicholas Leach also scored for East Ridge. More assists for East Ridge came via Jack Greeley, Steven Fronek, Ian Penvose, and Joseph Schutz, who contributed one a piece.

Forest Lake excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Rangers were held below their usual level of production. Forest Lake averages 4.0 goals per game. The Rangers' offense rang up 33 shots on the Raptors' net.

Forest Lake was led by John Suess, who scored the team's only goal. Suess scored 10:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Forest Lake. Alex Egle picked up the assist.

East Ridge incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Collin Peterson made 28 saves for the Rangers on 32 shots. Forest Lake incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
