Stillwater clinches tight 1-0 victory against Minnetonka

The Stillwater Ponies and the Minnetonka Skippers played 60 tight minutes of hockey, but in the end it was Stillwater that came away with a 1-0 victory.

Ian Wiesbrod provided the assist on the the contest's only goal.

The Ponies were paced by Zach Fedie, who tallied one goal. Fedie scored 16:33 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Stillwater. Wiesbrod picked up the assist.

Stillwater's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Minnetonka power plays.

Minnetonka stifled the Ponies' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Skippers were held below their usual level of production. Minnetonka averages 5.1 goals per game. The 18 shots that the Skippers put on net surpassed Minnetonka's average of 3.4 shots per game this season.

Colton Anderson rejected 18 shots on goal for Stillwater. The Ponies incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Paul Ciaccio recorded 16 saves for the Skippers. Minnetonka incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
