The Woodbury Royals had trouble finding ways to stop the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders, which beat Royals, 4-1.

Cretin-Derham Hall was led by goalie Trent Jancze, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Jancze will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.18 entering the contest.

The Raiders pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 15 penalty minutes.

The Raiders were helped by Jack Buckingham, who finished with one goal. Buckingham scored 13:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Cretin-Derham Hall. Max Jackson picked up the assist. Cretin-Derham Hall also got points from Patrick Cullen, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cretin-Derham Hall also got a goal from Derek Olmschenk as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cretin-Derham Hall were Nick Reis, Bret Huebner, Andrew Traxler, and Kendall Bolen-Porter, who contributed one a piece.

The Royals managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Woodbury wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Royals were led by Sasha Choporov, who scored the team's only goal. Choporov scored on the power play 16:21 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cretin-Derham Hall. Woodbury earned a power play opportunity when Jackson was put in the box for hooking. Ford Pendleton provided the assist.

Cretin-Derham Hall registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. The Royals' Kwiatkowski stopped 56 shots out of the 60 that he faced. Woodbury registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
