Kittson Central erases deficit to stun Breckenridge/Wahpeton, 4-3Breckenridge/Wahpeton Fri, Jan 18, 2013 The Kittson Central Wolfpack climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Blades, 4-3. Kittson Central never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Wolfpack was down 3-1 after a goal by Breckenridge/Wahpeton's Tyler Wohlers at 13:30 in the second period. Kittson Central tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Kyle Petersburg at 5:34 in the third period. The Wolfpack scored the game winner at 16:43 in the third period on a goal by Petersburg. Dalton Klegstad was all over the ice for Kittson Central, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Klegstad scored the first of his two goals at 1:21 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Breckenridge/Wahpeton. Klegstad's next tally made the score 4-3 Kittson Central with 3:17 left in the third period. The Blades were unable to stop the Wolfpack from sending pucks towards the net, and Kittson Central eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Kittson Central also got a goal from Nick Kasprowicz as well. In addition, Kittson Central received assists from Anders Lindegard and Jesse Younggren, who each chipped in one. Breckenridge/Wahpeton was led by Clay Bassingthwaithe, who tallied one goal and one assist. Bassingthwaithe scored on the power play 21 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Breckenridge/Wahpeton. Jake Richels assisted on the tally. Breckenridge/Wahpeton also got points from Richels, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Breckenridge/Wahpeton were Austin Hagstrom, who had one. Tucker Cosley rejected 24 shots on goal for the Wolfpack. Kittson Central incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Michael Withuski made 31 saves for the Blades on 35 shots. Breckenridge/Wahpeton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
