Donovan Stefan stood on his head and made 42 saves to lead the North Branch Vikings to a 4-1 victory over the Moose Lake Area Rebels.

North Branch was led by Ryan Zentner, who grabbed one goal. Zentner scored 8:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 North Branch. Kaleb Larson assisted on the tally.

North Branch also got points from Brandon Kratzke, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mitchell Patten, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Larson, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for North Branch were Brandon Timm and Al Guizzetti, who each chipped in one.

Moose Lake Area stifled the Vikings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rebels forced North Branch goalie Stefan to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

The Vikings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Moose Lake Area's Gage Mohelsky stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Rebels incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
