WSFLG takes care of Moose Lake Area early, wins 12-0

A five-goal first period deficit cost the Moose Lake Area Rebels, which could not recover and fell to the WSFLG Blizzard, 12-0.

Jake Swenson had four goals and one assist to lead WSFLG. Swenson notched his first tally 3:21 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:53 into the second, at 5:03 into the second, and at 2:00 into the third.

The Blizzard forced Moose Lake Area goalie Gage Mohelsky to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. WSFLG did not rack up many penalties in the contest, totaling a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

WSFLG also got points from Drew Alderman, who also had one goal and one assist, Shay Johnson, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Alex Hopkins, who also registered one goal and one assist, Bryce Ryan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Max Norman, who also had one goal and one assist. WSFLG also got a goal from Brandon Ryan as well. More assists for WSFLG came via Dakota Linke, who had two and Vinny Larson and Andrew Coy, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting six shots on net to force six saves.

The Blizzard's Brandon Roufs stopped six shots out of the six that he faced. WSFLG registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Gage Mohelsky made 35 saves for Moose Lake Area on 47 shots. The Rebels incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities.
