Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson takes care of Moose Lake Area early, wins 8-0

The Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson Mustangs opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to an 8-0 over the Moose Lake Area Rebels.

Derek Graves was all over the ice for Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Graves scored the first of his two goals at 1:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson. Connor Cannon provided the assist. Graves' next tally made the score 7-0 Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson with 9:55 left in the second period. Greg Chmiel assisted on the tally.

Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson also got points from Thomas Pasillas, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Cannon, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Justin Kneiszler, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Troy Jones, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Hunter Wedin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Austin Kadlec also scored for Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson. In addition, Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson received assists from Christian Leeb, who had one and Dylan Libra, who had two.

Moose Lake Area's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson power plays. The Mustangs' defense shut down the Rebels' forwards for much of the game, and Moose Lake Area got off only eight shots during the contest.

Mora/Hinkley-Finlayson's Tanner Baxley stopped eight shots out of the eight that he faced. The Mustangs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Gage Mohelsky made eight saves for the Rebels on 16 shots. Moose Lake Area incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
