WSFLG downs Legacy Christian Academy in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Aaron Dietmeier gave the WSFLG Blizzard a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Legacy Christian Academy Lions when he scored 7:40 into the extra period.

WSFLG was led by goalie Brandon Roufs, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Roufs certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.8 entering the contest.

The Blizzard were paced by Dietmeier, who tallied one goal.

WSFLG did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Blizzard put an average of 6.5 pucks into the net per game. WSFLG forced Legacy Christian Academy goalie Tanner Balk to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

Ryan Curtis also scored for WSFLG. In addition, WSFLG received assists from Jake Langevin, Matt Larson, Alex Hopkins, and Vinny Larson, who contributed one a piece.

The Lions excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Legacy Christian Academy could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Lions average 5.3 goals per game.

Legacy Christian Academy was led by Ike Larson, who scored the team's only goal. Larson scored on the power play 52 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1. Shaw Wiczek assisted on the tally.

The Blizzard incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tanner Balk made 43 saves for the Lions on 45 shots. Legacy Christian Academy incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
