Toby Sengvongxay netted a hat trick to lead the Luverne Cardinals over the Worthington Trojans, 9-2.

Sengvongxay notched his first tally 12:23 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:36 into the second and at 13:35 into the third.

Luverne kept Worthington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Scholtes made 63 saves on 72 shots. The Cardinals' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Luverne averages 6.6 goals per contest. The Cardinals got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.
