Wadena-Deer Creek downs Kittson Central in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines' Christian Berg scored 3:25 into overtime to beat the Kittson Central Wolfpack, 5-4 (OT).

Wadena-Deer Creek overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Wolverines fell behind 4-2 after a power play goal by Kittson Central's Dalton Klegstad at 15:04 in the second period. Wadena-Deer Creek tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Berg at 14:02 in the third period.

Berg had two goals and three assists to lead the Wolverines.

Wadena-Deer Creek additionally got points from Bridger Pettit, who also finished with two goals and two assists and Jake Krause, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Wadena-Deer Creek came via Mitchell Swanson, who had two.

Kittson Central also got a goal from Alex Strege as well. In addition, Kittson Central received assists from Kyle Petersburg, who had two and JP Mortenson, Nick Kasprowicz, and Jesse Younggren, who each chipped in one.

Wesley Janson rejected 26 shots on goal for Wadena-Deer Creek. The Wolverines incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tucker Cosley recorded 23 saves for the Wolfpack. Kittson Central incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
