Early goals doom Fairmont, falls to Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter, 7-0

The Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter Bulldogs opened up a five-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 7-0 over the Fairmont Cardinals.

Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter was paced by Luke Regner, who registered one goal. Regner scored 9:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter. Sam Wenner provided the assist.

The Bulldogs stifled Fairmont's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Bulldogs gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. Le Sueur-Henderson/St. Peter kept the Cardinals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Colton Cunning made 38 saves on 45 shots. The Bulldogs outdid their season average for goals scored.
