Rochester John Marshall blows out St. Paul Johnson, 6-2

Gavin Sandwick had two goals and two assists to lead the Rochester John Marshall Rockets to a 6-2 victory over the St. Paul Johnson Governors.

Sandwick's tallies came at 7:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Rochester John Marshall and 10:39 into the third to make the score 6-2 Rochester John Marshall.

Rochester John Marshall pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Rockets stifled St. Paul Johnson's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Rochester John Marshall kept the Governors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Samuel Moberg made 26 saves on 32 shots.

Rochester John Marshall also got points from Jared Bromberg, who also had one goal and one assist and Sam Broman, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Rochester John Marshall also got a goal from Brett Helling as well. More assists for Rochester John Marshall came via Nick Paulson, who had two and Cole Donahue, Alex Lovett, and Kevin Henslin, who contributed one a piece.

St. Paul Johnson was led by Matt Ranum, who registered one goal. Ranum scored short handed 4:36 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Rochester John Marshall. The Governors found themselves down a man on Brendan Zangs' elbowing. Jesse Solheid also scored for St. Paul Johnson. In addition, St. Paul Johnson received assists from Tyler Willier, who had one.

Patric Sadeki recorded 25 saves for the Rockets. Rochester John Marshall registered one goal on two power play opportunities. St. Paul Johnson incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
