Blake School outlasts St. Paul Johnson, 4-2PSI Internal Staff Sat, Dec 22, 2012 In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Blake School Bears escaped with a 4-2 victory over the St. Paul Johnson Governors. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Mark Lyman's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Lyman had two goals to lead Blake School to victory. The Bears' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Paul Johnson power plays. Blake School forced St. Paul Johnson goalie Samuel Moberg to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Blake School also got points from Cade Gleekel, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Christopher Chute, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Blake School were Crey Banks, who had two and Edmund Chute, Johnny Ferguson, and Preston Wallin, who contributed one a piece. The Governors were led by Matthew Blees, who tallied one goal and one assist. Blees scored 10:10 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kacey Beltz picked up the assist. St. Paul Johnson also got a goal from Jake Solheid as well. Jackson Norris rejected 14 shots on goal for the Bears. Blake School totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Moberg recorded 42 saves for St. Paul Johnson. The Governors ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
