East Grand Forks survives penalties, beats St. Cloud Cathedral, 4-0

The East Grand Forks Green Wave's penalty kill was superb, as East Grand Forks survived multiple penalties to beat the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders, 4-0.

The Green Wave were led by Tanner Tweten, who registered one goal. Tweten scored 1:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Grand Forks. Grant Loven assisted on the tally.

East Grand Forks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six St. Cloud Cathedral power plays. The Green Wave's offense rang up 33 shots on St. Cloud Cathedral's net.

East Grand Forks also got points from Dixon Bowen, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Kolton Aubol also scored for East Grand Forks. In addition, East Grand Forks received assists from Tommy Hajicek, who had three and Trevor Selk and Brandon Loven, who each chipped in one.

East Grand Forks' Tanner Lindstrom stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Green Wave totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and three majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Joshua Robak rejected 29 shots on goal for the Crusaders. St. Cloud Cathedral incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
