The St. Paul Highland Park Scots and the Ely/Northeast Range Timberwolves skate to 6-6 (OT) tie

Behind two goals and three assists from Louis Gerzin and two goals and two assists from Carter Manning, Ely/Northeast Range drew with St. Paul Highland Park 6-6 (OT).

The Scots' offense rang up 33 shots on the Timberwolves' net. St. Paul Highland Park surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Scots average 1.6 goal per game.

St. Paul Highland Park was helped by Charlie Sutmar, who registered two goals. Sutmar scored the first of his two goals at 9:11 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Ely/Northeast Range. Jackson Buelow provided the assist. Sutmar's next tally made the score 6-6 with 3:12 left in the third period. Dylan Zavoral picked up the assist. St. Paul Highland Park also got points from Jack Neisewander, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Zavoral, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ben Dombrow also scored for St. Paul Highland Park. More assists for St. Paul Highland Park came via Grant Vernon, who had two.

The Scots were unable to stop Ely/Northeast Range from sending pucks towards the net, and the Timberwolves eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. Ely/Northeast Range found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Timberwolves average 2.7 goals per contest. Ely/Northeast Range got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Ely/Northeast Range additionally got points from Bobby Shusta, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Manning, who also racked up two goals and two assists.
