Galt Goettl finished with one point to lead the Mankato West Scarlets to a 3-1 victory over the Rochester John Marshall Rockets.

Mankato West managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Scarlets ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Mankato West did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Scarlets put an average of 5.5 pucks into the net per game. Mankato West forced Rochester John Marshall goalie Jacob Garvey to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

Mankato West also got a goal from Derek Frentz as well. More assists for Mankato West came via Nick Campbell, Scott McKissick, and Ryan Jutting, who each chipped in one.

The Rockets' offense operated below they season average. Rochester John Marshall averages 3.2 goals per game. The Rockets' offense were handcuffed by the Scarlets' defensive play, and Rochester John Marshall managed only 11 shots on goal during the game.
