The Mankato West Scarlets' Galt Goettl had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-1 win over the Rochester Century Panthers.

Goettl scored on the power play at 1:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mankato West and again while 9:56 into the first to make the score 2-0 Mankato West.

Mankato West excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Rochester Century was unable to stop the Scarlets from sending pucks towards the net, and Mankato West eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Mankato West also got points from Derek Frentz, who also registered two goals and one assist and Zachary Erickson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Mankato West also got a goal from Ryan Jutting as well. Other players who recorded assists for Mankato West were Max Mettler, who had one, Tyler Jutting, who had two, and Nicholas Campbell, who had four.

The Panthers were led by Hayden Ashworth, who scored the team's only goal. Ashworth scored 12:35 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Mankato West. Dalton Travis assisted on the tally.

Conor Wollenzien made 15 saves for the Scarlets on 16 shots. Mankato West incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Rochester Century's Eric Rohleder stopped 28 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
