Rochester Century outlasts Austin, 4-3Rochester Recreation Center Thu, Feb 07, 2013 The Rochester Century Panthers and the Austin Packers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Rochester Century made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Ryan Sherden's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. The Panthers got the win with help from a great game by Jacob Roth, who had two goals and one assist. Roth scored the first of his two goals at 4:28 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Dalton Travis picked up the assist. Roth's next tally made the score 4-2 Rochester Century with 6:16 left in the second period. Hayden Ashworth provided the assist. Rochester Century forced Austin goalie Rainer Londino-Green to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. The Panthers bested their season scoring average. Rochester Century has scored at the pace of 1.8 goal per game during the current campaign. Rochester Century also got a goal from Samuel Batterson as well. In addition, Rochester Century received assists from Riese Zmolek, who had one and Alex Ney, who had two. The Packers were helped by Dan Larson, who tallied two goals. Larson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:25 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Austin. Tony Baudler picked up the assist. Larson's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Rochester Century with 3:55 left in the second period. Marcus Stoulil provided the assist. Austin also got points from Stoulil, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Austin came via Adam Maxfield, who had one. Eric Rohleder recorded 23 saves for the Panthers. Rochester Century incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Austin's Londino-Green stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Packers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
