Chute leads Blake School over Providence Academy, 6-4

Behind a great game by Christopher Chute, who had two goals and two assists, the Blake School Bears defeated the Providence Academy Lions, 6-4.

Chute's tallies came at 16:10 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Blake School and on the power play 15:13 into the third to make the score 5-4 Blake School.

Blake School outdid its season average for goals scored. The Bears have scored at the pace of 3.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Blake School could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Blake School also got points from Mark Lyman, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Blake School also got a goal from Myles Cunningham as well. More assists for Blake School came via Sam Chute, who had two and Nick Hughes and Johnny Ferguson, who each chipped in one.

Providence Academy forced the Bears goalie Jackson Norris to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Lions got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Providence Academy was led by Jake Braun, who registered two goals and one assist. Braun scored the first of his two goals at 10:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Providence Academy. Jack McGinty picked up the assist. Braun's next tally made the score 4-4 with 5:06 left in the third period. Michael Cossette assisted on the tally. Providence Academy additionally got points from Ryan Tapani, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Matt Murphy also scored for Providence Academy. In addition, Providence Academy received assists from Jack McGeehan, who had one.

Jackson Norris made 33 saves for Blake School on 37 shots. The Bears registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Nick Pruden recorded 24 saves for the Lions. Providence Academy incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
