The Princeton Tigers and the Rogers Royals skate to 3-3 (OT) tiePrinceton Ice Arena Tue, Jan 15, 2013 Princeton and Rogers could not settle their match and fought to a 3-3 tie. The Royals were unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Princeton eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Tigers were helped by Justin Sjoquist, who grabbed one goal. Sjoquist scored 3:33 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Jake Green picked up the assist. Princeton additionally got points from Daniel Voce, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Princeton also got a goal from Billy Oakes as well. Rogers forced Princeton goalie Max Mattson to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Royals were helped by Kyle Ellis, who registered one goal. Ellis scored 2:54 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Kyle Korva provided the assist. Alexander Lorman also scored for Rogers. In addition, Rogers received assists from Travis Brown and Nate Weber, who each chipped in one. The Tigers' Mattson stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Princeton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Blake Ternus rejected 33 shots on goal for Rogers. The Royals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
