Princeton beats Moose Lake Area 12-0 as Green gets hat trick

Jake Green lifted the Princeton Tigers to a 12-0 victory with a hat trick against the Moose Lake Area Rebels.

Green got on the scoresheet 2:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:35 into the second and at 14:29 into the third.

Princeton scored early and often, and held a 5-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

The Tigers featured an improved defense during the game. Princeton averages 2.3 goals allowed per game. The Tigers kept Moose Lake Area's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gage Mohelsky made 76 saves on 88 shots. Princeton outdid its season average for goals scored. The Tigers average 6.1 goals per game.

Princeton additionally got points from Daniel Voce, who also registered two goals and one assist, Collin Buness, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Chase Lindenfelser, who also registered one goal and four assists to lead the team in points, and Tommy Schroepfer, who also had one goal and one assist. Princeton also had goals scored by Tyler Leverty, who had one and Dan Muench, who had two. More assists for Princeton came via A.J. Wesloh, who had two, Justin Sjoquist, who had four, and Justin Carlson, Jordan Forschen, and Riley Forland, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere seven shots against Princeton's defense.

Robert Zimmer recorded seven saves for the Tigers. Princeton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Moose Lake Area incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
